This blog is the description of my country, Guatemala. A description of its people, its traditions, its folklore, its food, etc. The inspiration came from the desire of giving my friend and her two adoptive children from Guatemala a source to explore their roots. I am writing this for her, for her beautiful children and for all the many other American families like hers.

Break dancer.

Five kids that you could tell they were really from the slums were entertaining people at Pasos y Pedales (a weekend pedestrian street) in Guatemala city.
They were working hard but I could tell people were torn as to what to feel: fear or amusement.
I was thrilled, good job kids! 'Breaking' all barriers!!!
